A Place Apart - JAPAN

A Place Apart Japan is teaching community where all types of people can come for a time to break from the world and rediscover the new way of living introduced by Jesus and empowered by the Holy Spirit. It is also an outpost from which one can experience the rich fabric of Asian and Japanese culture, beliefs and faiths.

It is a place which can allow you to reflect. It provides a space to which anyone can come to break with the frenzied pace, empty value systems, and pseudo-life of the world. It is a space where one can rest and renew.

Immersion in Japanese culture within this context provides a unique opportunity to refresh. For thousands of years, the Japanese have practiced a discipline of and an especial connectedness to each other, the earth and sea. From 660 BC until 1876 AD at the dawn of the Meiji Era, the archetypes of Warrior, Mystic, Monk were ever present with the Samurai and even to this day the effects of this historical depth are evident within Japanese society.

A Place Apart Japan is a place within which one can take a break and from which one can explore, to learn about and experience this disciplined cultural depth and through the experience perhaps gain additional perspective or direction.
